Zurich Instruments, ein Marktführer in der Entwicklung und Vermarktung von Qubit-Steuerungs- und Ausleseelektronik für Quantencomputer, und sein Mutterkonzern Rohde & Schwarz wurden als Hauptpartner für das Projekt National Quantum Computing Testbed Facility (NQCT) in Queensland, Australien, ausgewählt. Das von A/Prof. Arkady Fedorov an der University of Queensland geleitete Projekt wurde im Rahmen des Quantum and Advanced Technologies Commercialisation Infrastructure Program (QCIP) mit knapp 6 Millionen australischen Dollar gefördert. Diese Initiative ist Teil der Queensland Quantum and Advanced Technologies Strategy, die darauf abzielt, Queensland als führenden Standort für Quanteninnovationen zu positionieren und die Zukunft von Arbeitsplätzen und Industrien zu gestalten.

IQM Quantum Computers, Riverlane, and Zurich Instruments have announced the launch of the SurgeonQ project, a strategic collaboration to create the first quantum computing platform capable of running multiple real-time quantum error correction operations. The project represents progress towards commercially viable quantum computing systems.

Yesterday marked the opening of the UNESCO International Year of Quantum Science and Technology 2025 at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. This initiative aligns with Zurich Instruments' mission to help unlock the vast potential of quantum science for the benefit of society. We thank UNESCO for spearheading this global effort, raising public awareness around a subject we are passionate about.
