Discontinued Products
This page lists the products that we discontinued. All these products continue to be serviced and technically supported by our customer service team.
HF2LI 50 MHz Lock-in Amplifier
The HF2LI Lock-in Amplifier was a digital instrument designed for high-performance signal recovery in the frequency range from DC to 50 MHz. The HF2LI is succeeded by the VHFLI Lock-in Amplifier, which features state-of-the-art hardware, an upgradeable frequency range, and improved signal fidelity for the most demanding measurement applications.
HDAWG-SKW Output Skew Control Option
The HDAWG-SKW Output Skew Control was an option for the HDAWG that enhanced the skew control resolution outputs to a value of 10 ps. In most of the cases, it is possible to achieve sub-sample precision in the timing of the output signals without the hardware change offered by the HDAWG-SKW option. See this blog post to learn how to adjust the timing of an output signal to a resolution much finer than the sampling rate.
HDIQ IQ Modulator
The HDIQ IQ Modulator was an accessory for the HDAWG8 used to convert signals from intermediate-frequency to the microwave frequency range using an external local oscillator (LO) signal. The HDIQ is succeeded by the SHFSG and SHFQC, which offer integrated, calibration-free upconversion up to 8.5 GHz.
HF2IS Impedance Spectroscope
The HF2IS offered solutions for dynamic and static impedance spectroscopy thanks to its 2 differential measurement units and 4 demodulators. The HF2IS is succeeded by two products. The HF2LI Lock-in Amplifier (with the HF2-MF option installed) offers the same dual-channel, multi-demodulator functionality for relative impedance spectroscopy. The MFIA Impedance Analyzer provides accurate impedance measurements for impedance spectroscopy or fast static impedance measurements. It also includes a fixture compensation advisor and a multi-stage current input.
HF2CA Current Amplifier
The HF2CA was our first preamplifier, designed to extend the HF2LI's measurement capabilities by enabling current measurements for highly capacitive sources. Full support is still offered through current and upcoming LabOne releases. The HF2CA is succeeded by the HF2TA, which guarantees comparable or improved performance for most applications.
HF2LI-RT and HF2IS-RT
The HF2LI-RT and HF2IS-RT options afforded user programmability of the instrument's embedded processor. This functionality was not integrated into the LabOne® instrument control software, and is exclusively available through ziControl (also discontinued, see below).
HF2LI-UHS and HF2IS-UHS
The UHS option (see the HF2LI-UHS and HF2IS-UHS pages) was a hardware option for the HF2 instrument series that offered higher accuracy for the internal 10 MHz reference clock as compared to the standard quartz oscillator. We continue to support and service all instruments upgraded with the UHS option.
ziControl for HF2LI
ziControl, the first graphical user interface for the HF2LI Lock-in Amplifier, was replaced by LabOne with software release 15.11, published on 01.01.2016.
Please note:
- The replacement of ziControl in favour of LabOne affects only the graphical user interface, as the server architecture and APIs are provided by LabOne independently of whether ziControl or LabOne is used.
- Flawless instrument operation requires the installation of LabOne and ziControl from the same release.
